Youth Mobility VISA Changes

The Youth Mobility Scheme is a program that allows young adults from certain countries to live and work in the UK for up to two years. This program is designed to promote cultural exchange and give young people the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the UK.

Recently, there have been some changes to the program that may affect teachers coming to the UK from Australia and New Zealand.

What are the changes coming in January 2024?

One major change to the Youth Mobility Scheme is that from 31 January 2024, the age limit for applicants will be raised from 30 to 35. This means that more young adults will be eligible to apply for the program and enjoy the benefits of living and working in the UK.

The second ammendment is that the VISA will be extended to three years instead of the current two years being offered.

This ultimately mean tht more experenced Teachers can look to make the move over to the United Kingdom for an extedend career move as opposed to a short term working holiday.
